New Member – CS Energy

We welcome our newest member, CS Energy.

CS Energy is an Australian-based electricity generating company owned by the Government of Queensland with its head office located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The company was established in 1997 and employs more than 400 staff. CS Energy’s core business is to generate and sell electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM). CS Energy operates two coal-fired power stations and a hydroelectric station. They also maintain coal assets and have a trading portfolio in the NEM of 4,105 megawatts.

Through their 50/50 retail joint venture with Alinta Energy CS Energy supplies electricity to customers in South East Queensland. Also, CS Energy are a party to an agreement that allows them to trade energy generated by the Gladstone Power Station.

Admission of CS Energy will enable the Institute to grow its membership base in the energy sector.
